Dallas Fed manufacturing index -13.9 vs -10.0 expected

Dallas Fed manufacturing index highlights:

– Output +5.8 vs +3.3 prior

The index was as low as -34.9 early this year. It’s struggling because of low energy prices.  Manufacturing is intuitively different than resource extraction but many parts overlap.
