Private sector credit in Australia was up 0.4 percent on month in November, the Reserve Bank of Australia said on Thursday – shy of forecasts for 0.6 percent and slowing from 0.7 percent in October.
On a yearly basis, credit climbed 6.6 percent – again shy of forecasts for 6.8 percent and down from 6.7 percent in the previous month.
Housing credit was up 0.6 percent on month and 7.5 percent on year, while business credit dipped 0.1 percent on month and was flat on year. Personal credit was flat on month and up 6.2 percent on year.
The M3 money stock added 0.7 percent on month and 6.7 percent on year, while broad money advanced 0.7 percent on month and 6.8 percent on year.
