Merkel loses support in two state elections

Anti-immigration party makes gains

Initial exit polls show German Chancellor Angela Merkel’s CDU party lost in Baden-Wuerttemberg to the Greens and in Rhineland-Palatinate to the Social Democrats. In Saxony-Anhalt they hold a strong lead.
