
China’s exports and imports declined at a faster-than-expected pace in February, data published by the General Administration of Customs revealed Tuesday.
Exports slumped 25.4 percent year-over-year in February, much faster than the 14.5 percent decrease expected by economists.
Similarly, imports dipped 13.8 percent in February from a year ago, exceeding economists’ forecast for a 12.0 percent fall.
The visible trade surplus of the country came in at $32.59 billion in February, which was below a $51.0 billion surplus expected by economists.
